Itinerary
Your day begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Moshi or Arusha, followed by a drive toward the western gate of Mount Kilimanjaro. After registration at the park gate, you will begin your guided hike into the Shira Plateau, gradually entering a breathtaking high-altitude landscape characterized by wide open moorlands, volcanic ridges, and panoramic mountain views. As you hike across the plateau, your guide will share insights about the mountain’s geology, flora, and fauna, while you enjoy the fresh mountain air and peaceful environment. On clear days, you will have incredible views of Kibo Peak rising above the clouds. A picnic lunch will be served at a scenic viewpoint within the plateau, allowing time to rest and take photographs.
